We&#8217;ll look at the bony landmarks of the upper arm, the elbow, the forearm, and the As a result, we can find a lot of different forms here! As you can see in the picture below, first, there&#8217;s a sharp point where the <strong>clavicle<\/strong> sticks out of the shoulder.<\/p><p>Afterward, there is a flat spot because of the <strong>acromion process,<\/strong> followed by a rounded surface form created by the <strong>humeral head<\/strong> at the beginning of the arm. Lateral end of the clavicle (1) protrudes, the humeral head (2) pushes the deltoid outward. The muscles influencing the sihlouette are the trapezius (3), deltoid (4), and triceps (5).<br \/><\/i><\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-341f5c6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"341f5c6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The humeral head is so visible because the <strong>deltoid muscle<\/strong> that covers it is, at that point, <strong>quite thin.<\/strong> The bulk of the deltoid muscle is a bit lower, under the humeral head.<\/p><p>The deltoid muscle continues almost until the middle of the upper arm and inserts into the <strong>deltoid tuberosity<\/strong> on the humerus. You can think about the <strong>deltoid in three steps.<\/strong> You start with the muscle&#8217;s origins in three places on <strong>the shoulder girdle<\/strong> \u2013 the spine of the scapula, the acromion process, and the acromial third of the clavicle.<\/p><p>Then you have to remember that the muscle is thin at first, and the <strong>humeral head<\/strong> is visible through it, after which the bulk of the muscle follows. The dimple of the <span style=\"color: #447635;\"><strong>lateral epicondyle<\/strong> <\/span>can only be seen in the rear and lateral views.<\/p><p>The third bony landmark of the elbow is the <span style=\"color: #4181b7;\"><strong>olecranon<\/strong><\/span>, which most of us recognize as &#8220;the&#8221; elbow. While the <span style=\"color: #6c58a3;\"><strong>radius<\/strong> <\/span>articulates with the bones of the hand, the <span style=\"color: #38aee3;\"><strong>ulna<\/strong> <\/span>doesn&#8217;t. The distal end of the <span style=\"color: #6c58a3;\"><strong>radius<\/strong> <\/span>goes over the motionless distal end of the <span style=\"color: #38aee3;\"><strong>ulna<\/strong><\/span>, and as a result, the bones cross during pronation.<\/p><p>To sum up the mechanics of pronation, the <span style=\"color: #6c58a3;\"><strong>radius<\/strong> <\/span>is to blame: it rotates at the elbow and <strong>crosses the <\/strong><span style=\"color: #38aee3;\"><strong>ulna<\/strong> <\/span>at the wrist.
