G-Print 130 g/m², manufactured by Arctic Paper in Sweden. Used for all titles and both print formats.
Offset printing, four-color process (CMYK). Images are separated into cyan, magenta, yellow and black and printed from plates in a single press run. Offset printing produces consistent color and fine detail across the full print run, so every copy reproduces the images to the same standard. This is the standard process for professionally printed illustrated books and is of higher quality than digital print-on-demand.
Our books use color coding to separate each individual muscles. Accurate color reproduction keeps neighboring muscles clearly distinguishable, so the structure can be understood at a glance. CMYK offset reproduction on coated paper maintains the separation between adjacent color-coded areas.
Stitched and glued (sewn binding). Pages are printed on large sheets, folded into sections, sewn together through the fold, and then glued to the spine. The thread holds each page in place independently of the glue.
